The design brief was challenging: rebrand a strategy and design agency that's struggled to find its identity after numerous rebrands.
"For the first time in the life of REX, I am truly proud of our website ♥️" – Allison J. Bran.
Contract: The REX Agency
Rebranded NZ Builders, an award-winning tilt-up concrete custom home business. The new brand features a custom logo font with a triangle symbolizing craftsman tools and level tilt-up walls. Editorial photography, white space, concrete textures, custom illustrations and a fern graphic elevate the brand and stand out as both approachable and unapologetic.
Award-winning digital cannabis experience: created customer journey, designed onboarding sign-up and e-commerce UI/UX, and established the click-and-collect program with a supporting campaign.
Employed FT: The Original FARM – Creative Director
I created a custom illustration and event signage for "Ghost Train," the Halloween train ride at Stanley Park Railway in Vancouver. This attraction attracts over 200,000 visitors each year. After a four-year hiatus, the organizers aimed to make a memorable return with a theatrical experience that features a whimsical story about three children exploring a cemetery and encountering its paranormal inhabitants.
Contract: The REX Agency
Moon Raven created a presence on Etsy and aimed to enhance their brand with a logo that reflects their handmade jewelry and the natural environment of Brentwood Bay, BC. The logo features a sharp-eyed raven roosting on a piece of jewelry, symbolizing a full moon, and is intentionally hand-drawn to represent the studio’s craftsmanship and limited production.
I conducted research on the sustainable infrastructure of Dockside Green, and I was responsible for designing, illustrating, and writing the text for the public art installations throughout the development site. Additionally, I coordinated the production, manufacturing, and installation of the wastewater treatment plant, biomass facility, rainwater capture systems, solar panels, windmills, and sustainable energy community art installations.
Contract: Cavana
Rebranded Robinson Roof Solutions to strengthen its national identity. The logo's negative space symbolizes the roof, while the chevrons convey action and urgency. B&W photography symbolizes the company's 16 years in business. The corporate blue instills familiarity and confidence, and the digital palette employs a unique colour for each call to action.
Contract: The REX Agency
Amano Foods soy sauce aimed to rebrand to attract larger grocery chains. Following a competitive analysis, I designed a new logo symbolizing the product's heritage and origins. I also created new packaging featuring matte laminated labels, contrasting the standard gloss options. The colour scheme utilizes black and warm earth tones to help distinguish the brand and each SKU from its competitors. As a result of this rebranding effort, Amano soy sauce is now available across Canada.
Contract: Stuart Waddell Design / Brandstorm
I supported Echosec from the initial discovery to final exit ($) by creating an approachable brand for a security tech startup. No project was too big or too small: promotional material, exhibitions, investor decks, product design, and even a TedX Presentation.
Employed FT: Echosec Systems – Creative
Baseline Payments acquired a tech start-up but didn't include its quirky brand, which featured a monochromatic colour palette and illustrated line art dinosaurs in jetpacks. Building on the previous brand's illustrations, I developed a vibrant and playful visual language, introducing 'Betty the Bookkeeper' and the Send-O-Tron, which includes a variety of illustrated characters that assist users in quickly sending and receiving money with the push of a button.
Employed PT: One Net – Senior Brand Designer
This is how Fall looks from the perspective of a medium-format camera, exposed three times. ♥️✨📷

Our Place's new social enterprise, Your Place, needed to maintain a connection to the parent brand while establishing its own unique identity in the market. Working closely with the founder of Your Place, I helped create a new identity. The logo and visual language were designed to resonate with the staff and attract the attention of the neighbours in the area being served, IE, "curb appeal".
I assisted with three store activations, including applications, floor plans, municipal engagement documents, landlord proposals, store renderings, exterior signage, interior finishings, displays, advertising, digital presence, and a grand opening event.
Employed FT: The Original FARM – Creative Director
Revoy, a transportation tech startup, needed help establishing its brand direction. The founder provided a diverse range of inspiration, including 80s arcades, neon signs, cowboys, dusty roads, and truck stops. The design needed to feel both familiar and new. The visual language I proposed was inspired by classic cars, Atari video games, wood panelling, a rich colour palette, and vibrant neon green.
Employed PT: One Net – Senior Brand Designer
The NZ Builders sales doc is a coffee-table book that is given to potential customers while meeting on their property. The book features editorial-style photography for each project and infographics explaining how tilt-up concrete homes are built, as well as their performance and health benefits. Build it right. Rebranded CloverPoints' management enterprise software as Insight. The color scheme is inspired by natural environments. The triangles in the logo icon symbolize different data sources and their connectivity. The negative space (triangle) symbolizes future data to be recorded and added to the system. The triangles and color scheme create a 3D box representing the application's visualization tools.

Contract: The REX Agency
The Summit Building was a hub for tech startups and featured decommissioned gondolas on its rooftop patio, which served as breakout spaces, but visible from the street. Rumors circulated about the building and it's activities at the Summit Building. To further generate interest, I organized a fake ribbon-cutting ceremony on the rooftop with the Mayor on April 1st—April Fools' Day—to announce Victoria's new gondola network: "Summit Gondola Network – Sit. Ride. Glide."
I worked with sensitive GIS data to design a land management engagement document for the Squamish Nation. With permission, I illustrated traditional carvings to create custom iconography. The final book was printed on uncoated paper and was perfect-bound with hand-stitched red thread (binding).
Employed FT: CloverPoint – Art Director, Lead Designer
Echosec Systems took part in a trade show in San Francisco focused on marketing personalization, social media, and sentiment. To prepare for the event, I designed a unique graphic for t-shirts and stickers. These items were worn by attendees and given out at Echosec's booth, resulting in an enthusiastic response. The initiative significantly boosted the company's visibility, helped it stand out against competitors, and increased Echosec's brand awareness during the event.

The City of Victoria needed a fresh summer banner initiative that highlights Canada's oldest Chinatown and represents Victoria's history, present and future, according to the design brief. Local photography added vibrancy and colour to the brand. The marketing materials and sales office showcased a collection of Wasaga photos, and floor plans were printed and framed.

The founder of NZ aimed to design a fleet that was bold yet subtle, emphasizing a “f#cking cool” appearance. Dark grey pickup trucks featured a black fern graphic for a tone-on-tone effect. The Maloo sports car/truck utilized a partial wrap with the fern serving as a transition. The NZ logo was applied in white for contrast without excessive sizing. Contact information was placed on the rear windows for visibility in traffic.
I developed a new brand language for a real estate tech start-up. I selected a classic serif typeface to convey familiarity and professionalism, paired with a vibrant colour palette to help the brand stand out. This cohesive branding reflects the start-up's innovative approach to transforming the real estate experience.
